Country is headed in wrong direction

Do you remember the old saying, “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time?” Well Trump has sure done it. It’s hard to believe all the people that swallowed his spiel. Almost everything he says is something with no substance behind it. It’s always trust him, he knows what he is doing. Everything is a big secret like his tax information. I just heard an accusation that he is broke, and he owes more than he owns. Which makes sense if he doesn’t want to show his tax returns.

It isn’t any wonder that even politicians in the Republican Party want to impeach him.   This has never happened before that politicians in their own party want to impeach their president. I don’t want this to happen myself because I want the American people to learn for themselves that those Republicans don’t work for them. They just work for the filthy rich.

Trump has acted up to my expectations when he has called for a 10 percent reduction in the taxes on the filthy rich in his first 100 days in office. He has filled his cabinet with billionaires that he can rub elbows with, which backs up my accusation that Republicans only take from the less fortunate and give to the most fortunate. This will become more obvious later on in his administration. Do you think those billionaires care or think about the less fortunate? I don’t. They never have.

Don Sorensen had a letter to the editor in the Jan. 3 paper titled “What’s next in this country?” In this letter he talks about false hope. He talks about the liberal media being against Trump when all they do is report what he says and when they report what he says it doesn’t sound as good as when it came out of his mouth. It is because he talks with such bold authority and weak-minded people swallow it. George W. Bush fooled the American people when he said he had inside information that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. He was never held accountable for that big lie. Nobody made him come forth and say where did he get his information. I will never understand that. If there was ever one big lie to the American people that is the one that should be investigated. Now we have Trump with all these solutions, but he won’t reveal them to the American people. I don’t think he has any solutions to any of our problems. I hope I am wrong because it is going to be the American people who are going to suffer just like in Bush’s lies. I haven’t been wrong yet. I will be big enough to admit I am wrong. The American people are in for a big disappointment on where this country is going. Trickle down economics doesn’t work and it never has.
