Woman found after 90-minute search

Workers from various agencies searched for 90 minutes Tuesday for a 69-year-old woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease after she wandered away from her home near Freeborn into nearby fields.
About 5:30 p.m. Tuesday the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the lost woman.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Freeborn County Emergency Management, the Freeborn Fire Department, Hartland Fire Department, Alden Fire Department, Albert Lea Fire Department (tracker), State Patrol helicopter and American Red Cross and neighbor volunteers assisted in the search.
At about 7 p.m. the woman was found walking toward her home after exiting a soybean field. She was treated on the scene and released to her family.
