Truman downs Alden-Conger

The Alden-Conger volleyball team traveled to Truman on Tuesday night to take on the Truman Bluejays, who currently are the Valley Conference leaders.
Truman certainly showed why they are the leaders as they defeated Alden-Conger 25-14, 25-9, 25-7 to earn the sweep.
“They had strong outside hitter, she put the ball down hard on us,” Alden-Conger coach Sarah Attig said. “We had a ton of touches and we couldn’t block her.”
Kelsey Behnke led the Knights with nine digs, while Allison Songstad recorded seven digs.
Karina Skov also had six digs and went 5-for-6 from the service line.
Ariel Keller had a big night at the net with 21 hits and Taylor Martin recorded 16 hits and let the Alden-Conger with three kills.
Allison Songstad led the Knights with three set assists.
Emily Bremseth led Alden-Conger from the service line as she went 5-for-5 on the night.
The Knights are back in action against Cleveland in Alden.
