Here are highlights in history for Nov. 21, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1990 — Alpha Enterprises Inc. was given a grant of $23,306 to start a diaper laundry service. This would provide employment for 10 to 12 Alpha clients.
1980 — Minnesota’s Capital for a Day Program would involve Albert Lea, Geneva, Hollandale and Austin on Nov. 25 and 26.
1960 — Freeborn County Courthouse custodians Harry Graham and Albert Emstad put the county into the Christmas spirit by placing the traditional Christmas tree above the courthouse entrance.
