1991 — A Tribune editorial urged motorists to turn on their headlight at any time when it’s raining, snowing, sleeting or hailing.

1981 — Joel V. Xavier, son of Elna and Valdemar Xavier, would be ordained as a minister at Grace Lutheran Church on the following Sunday.

1951 — Nestor Sybilrud became the new postmaster at Glenville, replacing C.J. Lightly who retired after 34 years of service.
