NORTHWOOD, Iowa– Nick Sweetland and Casey Mayer both scored 16 points, while Jackson Steinberg chipped in 15 points as the St. Ansgar Saints boys’ basketball team defeated the Northwood-Kensett Vikings 59-35 Friday in Northwood.

The Vikings found themselves down early as the Saints led after the first quarter by a 16-2 score.

Northwood-Kensett cut the lead to nine as they trailed 31-22 at half-time.

St. Ansgar pulled away in the last two quarters to earn the 59-35 win.

Tyler Thofson led the Vikings with 16 points, while Torin Newell recorded 9 points.
