1986 — Students at Albert Lea High School would be presenting four performances of the spring musical, ”Cinderella,” later in the month.

1976 — The 17th annual Albert Lea Quarter Horse and Appaloosa Show would be held at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds on April 10 and 11.

1956 — Janice Henderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Henderson of Hollandale, would be representing Freeborn County in the state spelling contest.
