FARGO, N.D. — A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday to drug trafficking and other charges, admitting to the court that he tried to hire a hit man to kill two other drug dealers.
Jeremy Jon Hoff, also known as Johnny 5, pleaded guilty in federal court in Fargo to using a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, witness tampering, and solicitation to murder a witness. He faces up to life in prison without parole when he’s sentenced Nov. 10.
Prosecutors say Hoff and three co-conspirators moved large quantities of meth from Minnesota to Valley City and elsewhere. Lawyers for Hoff’s alleged co-conspirators said at a status hearing last week that their clients will likely plead guilty.
