Local participants in the Honor Flight

Published 8:59 am Friday, November 11, 2011

The following list of area veterans who have traveled to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II Memorial as part of the Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight trips is based on a listing provided by Jon Rhiger, Freeborn County veterans service officer.

Several other people went on these trips as guardians or escorts and they are designated with the letter G. Also, several veterans were from nearby communities and this is also indicated.

Some Freeborn County veterans from communities along the Iowa line may have gone to the nation’s capital city on these special visits as part of the Honor Flight Winnebago organization. Their names are not listed.
