Peek at the Past

Here are highlights in history for Nov. 8, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1984 — “Faces of China” was the name of a photography exhibit by June Wells at the Albert Lea Art Center. She had taken the photos during a visit to China earlier in the year.

1974 — The football field near the Glenville High School was being moved about 60 to 70 yards south of its location to make room for a playground area.

1964 — Cheerleaders at Alden High School were Janet Tiede, Judy Behr, Mary Paulson, Donna Kohler and Nancy Babbitt.
