Here are highlights in history for Nov. 14, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1989 — Leah Mattson and LaChelle Zeman, juniors at Albert Lea High School, were named to the Big Nine swim team.

1979 — A grand opening was being held for Albert Lea’s new Burger King restaurant and drive thru at 2011 E. Main St.
