Here are highlights in history for Dec. 28, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1989 — Albert Lea’s Sub-Santa program made Christmas brighter for 100 area families.

1979 — One of the columns on the Tribune’s editorial page was by State Representative Henry Kalis who wrote about the agenda for the legislature which would be starting its new session on Jan. 22. 1980.
