Taxes are akin to property theft

Recently, I received something in the mail from an organization calling themselves, “A Better Legislature,” which proceeded to misrepresent and take out of context the things Rep. Rich Murray has done for us.
Rep. Murray understands that continuous spending is simply unsustainable — the fact is we cannot afford a lot of these programs and entitlements the Democratic Party thinks we need. The answer is not to soak the “wealthy.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but making laws to take money from someone else, regardless of how much or how little they have — isn’t that theft? It should be!
The propaganda went on to insinuate that the Republican-led Legislature was not willing to compromise with the governor — untrue. The Legislature made more than one attempt to work with Gov. Mark Dayton, but he was unwilling to work with them. Rich Murray has been a great representative; he will even take time out of his busy day to respond to emails and phone calls from constituents — something Robin Brown never did. Rep Murray has my vote in November!
