Duane A. Frondal was born on Aug. 16, 1931, in Oakland Township, the son of Henry and Esther (Christiansen) Frondal. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school and then Albert Lea High School. On July 28, 1987, Duane was married to Donna Riemann in California. Duane worked for several businesses including Duane’s Felco Station in Kiester, Brua’s Auto, the elevators in Kiester and Conger; he also farmed and worked most recently for Interstate Motors. He enjoyed camping and working on cars with his son Barry, and particularly liked helping others. The time he spent with Barry was special to him, and he was glad to have him back in his life. Duane loved going to family “rebellion” (picnics).
