Recovery turned into a vacation

Three weeks ago, I had surgery on my right arm rotator cuffs. My family wanted me to go to St. John’s for therapy. I stayed there for two weeks. I had a wonderful vacation. I knew almost everyone out there because every Sunday I would help push wheelchairs after church. I ran the halls, played 5 hundred, went to memorials and had a great time.
All of the people from staff, nurses, aides, cooks, kitchen helpers, management, to janitors and the people who lived there were very special to me. I have taken care of someone since I was six-years-old. This was great to have someone take care of me.
So don’t sit around and worry about going to a nursing home. That time may never come for you. Just remember if it does, there are caring places for you to go.
And remember, the best is yet to come.
