Trip to Israel was politically telling

In November 2013, I went to Israel with a group from Albert Lea. On major street corners in major cities there were at least two Israeli soldiers with machine guns. I decided I would like to talk to as many of them as I could. The first two I talked with said, “What are you Americans thinking putting a Muslim in as your president?”

I told them that I have but one vote, and I never voted for him!

They also said, “America lacks leadership and respect in the world because of Obama. We owe a lot to you Americans; and if you need our help, we will be there to help protect you — we have your back covered.”

I told two others that I talked with that I liked the way Israel handled things — they look at the issue, decide what should be done and they do it. They don’t talk about it for months and tell the world what they are going to do — they just do it.
