After attending an old friend’s funeral last Friday I started reflecting. How could a guy with such a gruff personality be a good city manager? How is it that city meetings were not that professional after he left office? How is it that we believe all the stories without proof? How can a guy fall asleep during a Twins game in the Metrodome with 30,000 people there? And finally, how can a grizzled old bar owner become a pretty good city councilor?
