Romelda Quam, 1930-2014

Dr. Romelda R. Quam, 84, passed away July 16, 2014. Romelda was born in Atlanta to Otis and Clara Robinson on April 14, 1930. She graduated from Arizona State University and received her Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. Romelda worked as a registered nurse, then as a registered nurse instructor and she was also a published author, writing “Remembering Glenville.” She was an active member of Emmaus Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Romelda loved to do crafts and enjoyed sewing and chalk art.
Romelda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin Quam; her parents; a brother and a sister.
She is survived by her daughters Vickie Nuccio, Cathey (Scott) Hoyt and Dr. Michele Quam; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Nedra Iosello; and a brother, Terry Bue.
