The Lake Mills wrestling team won a triangular at Forest City to finish the season with a 29-4 dual record, according to a press release.
The Bulldogs beat Eagle Grove 57-18 Tuesday in the first bout, and finished with a 57-21 win over Forest City.
Against Eagle Grove, Lake Mills picked up four pins and five forfeits.
“Although we beat them fairly easily, we did not wrestle very well,” said Bulldogs coach Alex Brandenburg. “We gave up a lot of points late in periods, and it cost us some close matches.”
Lake Mills showed improvement against Forest City with six pins and three wins by forfeit.
“The kids wrestled a lot better against Forest City,” Brandenburg said. “They were much more aggressive and limited mistakes in comparison to the first dual.”
