Lillian G. “Lil” Aspenson, 91, of Stillwater, formerly of Clarks Grove and Albert Lea, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
A memorial service will be at noon Friday at Bethany Evangelical Covenant Church, 6490 Stillwater Boulevard N. in Stillwater. Gathering time will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial was May 1.
Lillian was a soloist and pianist, a student of history and the Bible, and she loved traveling. She was a most special lady, a spiritual anchor to her family, sweet-spirited, gentle, strong and she never complained. She loved her Lord Jesus with all her heart and devoted her life to him as well as her family. A vital, vibrant mama and grandma, she is profoundly missed by her family.
Lillian is survived by daughters Kathryn (Jim) Arkell, Paula (Vince) Geiger and Marcia (Craig) DeWolf; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers Robert Rasmussen, Richard Rasmussen and Peter Miller Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L.; daughter, Karen Garvey; and sister, Marion Arndt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Samaritan’s Purse, one of Lil’s favorite charities.
