Area students participate at Augustana College graduation

Three hundred seventy-six students were in the Augustana College Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 23, held at the Sioux Falls Arena. Jenna Marie Legred of Bricelyn along with Kayla Mariah Swee of Albert Lea were two students recognized at Commencement.

 

Olson named to Upper Iowa University’s dean’s list

Derek Olson of Glenville was named to Upper Iowa University’s spring dean’s list of the 2014-2015 academic year. Olson had to have a GPA of 3.5 or above and be enrolled as a full-time student to have received this honor.

 

MSU Moorhead dean’s list names local students

Four local students who attend Minnesota State University Moorhead made the spring dean’s list of the 2014-2015 dean’s list. Alek Haldorson-Stuck and Dana Jacobs of Albert Lea, Alayna Hall of Glenville and Marissa Reeves of Blue Earth have been named to the list. The students had to maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher and carry 12 credit hours to qualify.

 

Wilkerson graduates from Western Technical College

Naomi Wilkerson is one out of 988 students to have received an associate’s degree, technical diploma or certificate from the Western Technical College’s academic year of 2014-2015. She graduated with a nursing associate’s degree.

 

Augustana College announces dean’s list

Six area students have been named to the dean’s list of Augustana College for the spring semester of the academic year of 2014-2015. Anna Anderson, Emma Behling, Claire Buendorf, Kelly Nelson, Kayla Swee and Kelsey Thomas were those included .

Requirements to be on the dean’s list were being a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

 

NDSU names Boertje to dean’s list

North Dakota State University has named Ethan T. Boertje of Wells to the spring dean’s list of the 2014-2015 academic year. To have qualified for this honor, Boertje had to meet a GPA of 3.5 or above and be enrolled in at least nine credit classes.

 

Phillips achieves “B” honor roll

Julia Phillips of Glenville earned a spot as one of the 62 students to have been on the “B” honor roll at BlueSky Online School.

 

Simpson College names Hartmann to dean’s list

Michelle Hartmann of Albert Lea was named to Simpson College’s dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2014-2015 academic year. The requirement to be named on the dean’s list was to have a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
