Five members of the 2016-17 Tiger Yearbook staff attended the Jostens Summer Yearbook Workshop from June 21 to Thursday at Gustavus Adolphus College.
According to a press release, all five students stayed in student housing and got a taste of what it’s like to live on a college campus in non-air conditioned dorms. It was the ninth consecutive summer attending yearbook summer workshop for adviser Riley Worth.
Students who participated were seniors Maddie Willey, Alli Sherman and Megan Vogt and juniors Sydney Doran and Lexie Simon.
The theme of this year’s 103rd installment of Tiger Yearbook will be “Balanced.” Students spent three days figuring out how they are going to carry that theme throughout the book, designing the page spreads and planning coverage, figuring out how to get every student in the book at least three times, creating page templates, picking fonts, designing the book cover and picking theme colors and shapes.
According to Worth, the 2017 Tiger yearbook is going to be a must-have because of the work the students were willing to put in this summer.
Yearbooks will be available to purchase at a reduced price once school starts in late August. To receive the discounted price, students must purchase the books by Halloween.
