The Albert Lea girls’ basketball team scored six points in its last game, a loss to Rochester Mayo.

But the Tigers took out their frustration on a Cleveland team that was looking for its third win of the season.

The Tigers got 22 points from Rachel Rehnelt in a 66-58 win Thursday night in Albert Lea.

Rehnelt added seven assists and four rebounds.

Kalli Citurs added 12 points, and freshman Turena Schultz had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

The victory is the first of the season for the Tigers, and it should give them some confidence heading into the break.

Albert Lea is off until Jan. 3 when it hosts Red Wing.
