Richard P. Neitzel of Mankato, a former graduate of Blooming Prairie High School, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Homestead Hospice in Owatonna. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road in Owatonna. The Rev. Paul A. Lauer will officiate. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna. Friends may greet the family at 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Richard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue, of Mankato; two sisters, Audrey Sorenson of Albert Lea and Karen (Ralph) Zeise of Redwood Falls; brothers-in-law Myron (Nancy) Spindler, Leo (Carol) Spindler, Dennis (Pam) Spindler and Bill (Doreen) Spindler; and sister-in-law, Therese (Doug Sheely) Manggaard.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dale and Myron; and sister, Marlys.

Memorials may be directed to Our Savior’s Church in Mankato or Homestead Hospice Patient Care Fund.
