Memorial services for Ellen M. Stenseth, 70, of Albert Lea will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daphne Hamborg will officiate. Ellen died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home.

Ellen Marie Stenseth was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Chicago, the daughter of Lawrence and Alberta (Rave) Armell. She grew up in the Albert Lea area, attended Albert Lea High School and later went to Austin Community College where she earned her printing certificate. She worked for Streater LLC in various positions until her retirement.

On June 30, 1984, she was united in marriage to Perry Stenseth. She was a member of Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church and Local 766, where she served as a secretary. Ellen enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. She loved time with her grandchildren when they were little.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Perry; son, David (Crystal) Christenson; grandchildren Brady and Justin Christenson; sister, Sharon Lynch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Matthew Stenseth, in 1989; and sisters Wanda and Marilyn.
