A memorial service for Mary Ann Moran will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Chapel, 901 Luther Place in Albert Lea. A visitation will be one hour prior. The Rev. Don Malinsky will officiate.

Mary Ann Moran, 70, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea. She was born Aug. 21, 1947, to parents Thomas and Marian (Kabrud) Hintz in Albert Lea. She was raised and attended school in Glenville. Mary Ann was a member of United Methodist Church in Glenville as well. Mary Ann married Leon Moran shortly after high school.

Mary Ann, affectionately called “Pooky,” loved fishing, crocheting, playing poker and completing puzzles in her free time. She was an excellent baker and made delicious donuts, cookies and pie. She cherished spending time with her siblings, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. They shared a special bond. She will be missed by her family.

Survivors include her brother, Butch (Pat) Hintz; sisters Shelley Saltou (Wayne), Angie (Eugene) Schilling and Penny (Kelly) Burger; uncle, Ernest (Lorraine) Kabrud; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Moran; parents Thomas and Marian Hintz; brother, Jody Hintz; stepdaughter, Vicky; sister-in-law, Doris Hill; and brothers-in-law Harold Dean Moran and Dennis Saltou.
