We had a busy and productive caucus evening last month, despite it being the only winter weather we’ve had all winter, and we are now preparing for our Freeborn County GOP Convention. This year’s GOP County Convention will be at the Edgewater Bay Pavilion like it has been in recent years past. We are also now hosting all of our monthly Freeborn County GOP meetings the second Monday of each month at Edgewater Bay Pavilion. The meetings have been held downtown for these last few years but will be out at the Edgewater Bay Pavilion for the next 12 months. Below is our county convention call. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon as we run full speed into the 2024 elections.

This is your 2024 Freeborn County Republican Party Convention call.

Pursuant to Article VIII of the Republican Party of Minnesota Constitution, a convention for the Freeborn County Republican Party is hereby called to meet at:

Edgewater Bay Pavilion

Edgewater Drive

Albert Lea, Minnesota, 56007

Friday, March 22, 2024, convening at 6 p.m. Registration will open at 5:30 p.m.

The 2024 Freeborn County Republican Party Convention shall be composed of delegates and alternates elected at the 2024 precinct caucus residing within the boundaries of Freeborn County.

The convention shall be held for the purpose of:

1. Electing Freeborn County Republican Party delegates and alternates ot the CD 1 and State Conventions.

2. Considering amendments to the Freeborn County Republican Party Constitution.

3. Considering resolutions to the MNGOP platform.

4. Transacting other such business as may properly come before this convention.

Registration fee: Delegates — $10 if received before March 20, $20 at the door.

Alternates/guests — $5 if received before Feb. 14, $10 at the door.

Guests must be accompanied by a delegate; limit one guest per delegate

To register, please email our secretary, Mandy Grzybowski, at secretary@freeborncountygop.com and pay on convention day, or mail your registration fee no later than Monday, March 13, and something specifying that it’s your registration fee to P.O. Box 1037, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
