Inez Lutteke, 81, Albert Lea

Inez Ardella Lutteke, 81, of Albert Lea, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at her home in Albert Lea. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Churc, Pickerel Lake. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and will continue one hour prior to the service, all at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. The Rev. Wendy Anderson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting with arrangements.

Lutteke

Inez was born June 2, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Scherb) Hensche in Albert Lea. Inez was united in marriage to Donald F. Lutteke on Sept. 15, 1950, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. Inez was an active member of the church, having served for many years on the cemetery board. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, WELCA member, Miriam Circle member, and was an avid quilter. She was also a member of the Alden Homemakers and was a key leader for the Alden 4-H club. She was a deacon and loved to deliver church bulletins. She cooked at Arrowhead Golf Course and St. John’s Lutheran Home. She worked for the newspaper, was a farm wife, and a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Inez loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their various events. She also enjoyed planning parties at her condominium and visiting with her friends and family.

Inez is survived by her children: Eugene (Gail) Lutteke of New Ulm, Gregory (Kathy) Lutteke of Conger, Glenn (Ann) Lutteke of Stewartville, Sandra (John) Morgan of Albert Lea and Galen (Cathy) Lutteke of Burnsville; eight grandchildren: Chelsey Lutteke, Haley Lutteke, Amy (Kendall) Davis, Chad (Julie) Lutteke, Jared Lutteke, Kayla Lutteke, Kyle and Kendra Lutteke; great-grandchildren: Ashley and Alyse Davis, Gavin and Rylan Lutteke; one sister, Adeline Biedermann of Albert Lea; one brother-in-law, Harlan Lutteke of Alden; several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, in 1998; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Bertha Lutteke; niece, Alayne Biedermann; brother-in-law, Arnold Biedermann.
