Ruth Lillibridge, 71, Alden

Memorial services for Ruth A. Lillibridge, 71, of Alden will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Vic Vriesen will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Ruth died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Ruth Ann Lillibridge was born on April 11, 1942, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Raymond and Harriet (Anderson) Hinkley. She grew up in Alden and graduated from Alden High School in 1960. On Jan. 23, 1960, Ruth was united in marriage to Larry R. Lillibridge at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The couple farmed together southwest of Alden. Ruth worked as a nurse’s assistant for Freeborn County Home Health, for Thorne Crest for 15 years and for Crossroads Community Hospice for another 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Alden United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed flowers and flower gardening, and most especially, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blessed be her memory.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; her children, Peggy (Marty) Johnson, Renae (Jim) Dolton, Michael (Colette) Lillibridge and Heidi (Jon) Hensch; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Karen) Hinkley; sister, Betty Jo (Arlen) Steele; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Harriet Hinkley; brother, George Hinkley; sister-in-law, Sharon Hinkley; and a nephew, Wayne Hinkley.
