Neuman Riskedahl

Neuman died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Neuman Lemont Riskedahl was born on Jan. 13, 1923, near Alden, the son of Leonard and Tillie (Stokkeboe) Riskedahl. He attended schools near Walters and later in Alden. A severe accident in his teenage years and his recovery defined Neuman’s resolve to be a positive model and be active throughout his life. On Aug. 8, 1946, Neuman was united in marriage to Dorothy Johnson. They lived in Florida briefly while he was stationed there in the Army Air Corps. Dorothy and Neuman then farmed together near Hartland until 1994. Neuman was a dedicated member of his church and active in his community. He enjoyed retirement, living in Albert Lea and Bancroft Creek Estates. Neuman was a gregarious man who enjoyed friends, conversation, dancing, travel and a good game. A simple visit from Neuman delighted many a heart.
