Deborah “Debbie” Lawson, 57, of Alden passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, in Rochester.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bethel United Methodist Church, 503 E. South St., Manly, with the Rev. Don Preston officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. NE, Mason City.

Debbie was born Jan. 4, 1960, daughter of John and Sharon (Myers) Donovan Jr. Debbie attended Mason City High School. After high school, she worked various jobs in the Mason City area to help her mother care for her siblings. Debbie was united in marriage to Dave Lawson on Feb. 14, 1981, in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mason City, and to this union three children were born.

Debbie enjoyed attending bingo on every Thursday with her daughter Lorene and spending time with her grandchildren.  She looked forward to her morning cups of coffee, and her late night television.  Debbie delighted reading the Bible every night. 

Debbie is survived by her husband, David Lawson; three children, John (Maggie) Lawson, KC (Zac) Stuart, and Lorene (Nick) Rozalez; six grandchildren, Broodie, Gabriela, Charlie Lawson, Chase Schneider, Jaydn and Zac Jr. Stuart; mother, Sharon Donovan two brothers, Tommy and Tony Donovan; sister, Connie Lawson, and many extended family.

Debbie is preceded in death by her father, John Donovan Jr.; mother in-law, Tootie Lawson; grandson, Caleb Stuart; and grandmother, Edna Myers.
