Martin Rosas, 55, of Albert Lea passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Martin Rosas Sanchez was born Sept. 29, 1962, in Mexico City, Mexico. He was raised by his grandparents in Mexico City, where he graduated and attended the Law Enforcement Academy.

Martin worked at Cargill in Albert Lea for nine years. He enjoyed walking his dogs Cookie and Tony, and watching soccer games and TV Land on television; he had a green thumb for his purple passion.

Martin is survived by his wife, Carmen Duenes Rosas, of 26 years; and four stepdaughters and one stepson, Anna Schmid of Lubbock, Texas, Noemi Rosas, Maria Miranda, Michelle Lopez and Miguel Duenes Ortiz Jr. There are 17 grandchildren.

Martin will be sadly missed by his best friend and children, Benito and Maria Espinoza, and his two dogs, Tony and Cookie, who were his pride and joy.
