It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Maxyne (Anderson) Groe, 83, of Austin and later Mankato, on Dec. 29, 2019. Maxyne was preceded in death by husband, Gerald, and son, Steven. She will be deeply missed by son, Craig, of Mankato;  daughter, Gerilyn (Mike) Elsen, of Eden Prairie;  granddaughters, Sylvia Orth (Eduardo Gavilan), Emmalyn and Andrea Elsen;  great-granddaughter, Ariana Gavilan;  sisters, Marilyn (Phil) Peters, of Albert Lea, JoEllen (Jim) Bailey, of Mason City; many beloved nephews, nieces, aunt and cousins. Maxyne loved her family, friends, a good laugh, an interesting book and traveling the world.  A private burial will be in June.
