Democrats from President Barack Obama to U.S. Sen. Al Franken, U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and state Rep. Shannon Savik are once again buying votes with our money.

Their proposed reduction in student loan payment and eventually in the amount paid will cost billions of dollars every year. The students receiving these breaks and their children will be paying tax bills for this program and other like it for the rest of their lives. Every time the government gives something for free it is just added to the national debt and added to our kids and grand kids’ tax bill.

Democrats do not want to hold colleges responsible for overcharging the under-education of students. As long as colleges continue to churn out students indoctrinated in the liberal, Democratic Party political point of view, they have done their job. Now they want to get students hooked on the idea that the government is generous and will take care of them before the reality of who actually pays the bills sinks in.
