Bulldogs defeat Broncos

BELMOND, Iowa– Tyler Rice scored 18 points as the Lake Mills Bulldogs boys’ basketball team had four players score in double figures as the Bulldogs defeated the Belmond-Klemme Broncos 63-52 Friday in Belmond.
“It was nice to get back on the winning track,” Lake Mills coach Kyle Menke said. “Dylan Davis played the best game of his career. We played well in the second half to pick up a nice win on the road.”
Dylan Davis recorded 14 points for Lake Mills, while Tim Brandt and Marcus Gaskill both scored 12 points a piece.
The Broncos actually led the game going into halftime 29-24.
In the second half, the Bulldogs outscored the Broncos 39-23 over the final two quarters to earn the win.
One of the big advantages for Lake Mills came at the free throw line.
The Bulldogs shot 17-of-25 from the free throw line, while the Broncos only managed to shoot 3-of-6.
Lake Mills is back in action on Saturday as they travel to take on North Sentral Kossuth.
