Eagles down Bulldogs

LAKE MILLS– Kellie Schmit scored 17 points as the West Hancock Eagles girls’ basketball team defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs 53-34 Thursday in Lake Mills.

“West Hancock is a well balanced team that has a lot of offensive weapons,” Lake Mills coach Beth Van Roekel said. “We played with them in the first half and then the game slipped away.”

Haley Mathews lead the Bulldogs with 10 points, while Amanda Lampman and Carlie Christianson both recorded eight points a piece.

Lampman also had a team high six rebounds.

Lake Mills is in action tonight as they travel to take on Mason City Newman.
