Here are highlights in history for Nov. 13, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1988 — A 20th year rededication and open house would be held on Nov. 14 for past and present students, employees and parents involved with Albert Lea’s Lakeview Elementary School.

1978 — The Albert Lea High School Tigerettes volleyball team completed their season with a record of 18 wins and one loss to Apple Valley High School in the regional playoff.

1968 — The Heart of the Artichoke, a local handcraft gift shop on East Clark Street, held its grand opening.
