Before Monday’s loss, USC was ranked sixth out of the seven teams in the Gopher Conference, and was in 19th place in the Section 2A standings.

USC coach Amy Anderson said junior Shianne Robertson was a standout player for the Rebels Monday night. Robertson recorded 11 kills, five digs and four blocks.

Also contributing for the Rebels were senior Lauren Allis with seven kills and a block, and junior Tyra Jonson with six digs and one kill. Senior Kendall Stenzel racked up nine assists and had one dig, while senior McKayla Mithun fired on all cylinders with one kill, six assists, two blocks and five digs.

The Rebels were 55-58 from the line, with a serving percentage of 98.

“The team’s serving percentage was better than what we have been doing,” said Anderson.
