Success at the alley

- Kylee Wassenberg, middle, was part of a three-person gold-medal-winning bowling team Nov. 8 at the South Dakota State Special Olympics in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Wassenberg qualified for the competition by winning first place individually Oct. 17 at the regional competition. She was coached in practices and both tournaments by her personal coach Faron Lais, left, and the team coach Michelle Boadwine, right. Morgan Squashingroff and KrisLynn Zahm, both of Sioux Falls, were on Wassenberg’s teammates at state. Wassenberg, 14, is a United South Central student who attends Children’s Care Hospital and School/Lifescape in Sioux Falls. — Provided
